Hi to all of our SOSPEI readers,

As a home organizing and home staging company, SOSPEI provides services for everyone. But research is telling us that the number of seniors is growing on P.E.I. and with it is the need for Services For PEI Seniors. Are you one of our valued seniors? Do you have a family member who is a senior? Let me take this opportunity to tell you how we can serve you!

1. Just a few of the many things that we can help out with is regular cleaning and organizing. Kitchens and bathrooms tend to require a little extra cleaning, and bedrooms (especially closets!) require some organizing from time to time.

2. If the senior still owns their own home then there are the routine repairs and maintenance as well as the yard work that needs doing.

3. With life changes there comes the need to change where we live and maybe reduce our space for living. This can mean organizing, packing, storing and disposing of treasured items. Our staff are sensitive to these needs and can provide the needed assistance in a kind and friendly yet professional way.

We can help with all of these needs as well as anything else that may come along and require attention. We know that as we get older we need help doing things and families are so busy.

What we do: Professional Home Organizing

PROFESSIONAL HOME ORGANIZING involves going into a client’s home and rearranging various areas in the home such as cupboards, closets, kitchens, storage areas, and home offices, to name a few. As an example, we will arrange your cupboards into "zones" for logical, simplified, more efficient use. You will be able to find what you need, when you need it and without all the clutter!

Where clients cannot reach high or low, the cupboards and other areas will be made ACCESSIBLE. Cupboards can be CUSTOMIZED with new inserts, storage units, containers, jars, baskets or whatever looks good and is convenient to allow easier access. Colors can be used to make it easier to visually identify sections, and easy-open containers can be used for those with arthritic issues.

DE-CLUTTERED - getting rid of out dated products, papers, expired receipts, etc. can be a daunting task but with the right parameters and lots of love and respect, we help work through the process to the final scrap. Closets can be cleaned out and rearranged by seasons, colors and items (scarfs, hats, purses, shoes and belts, for example).

General residential CLEANING is also offered as a service, alone or in conjunction with our other services. We'll even clean behind fridges, stoves, and dryers to prevent fire hazards.

    For 1 to 3 hour consultation = $150.00
    This includes travel, time, discussion of client needs and wants, likes and dislikes, complete tour of home with an evaluation of the tasks including measuring, photos of furniture and placement, accessories, etc. Then a return trip with the quote for the job, and a list of what I feel they need to do.

    For Organizing $20.00/hr.

    Painting, landscaping, cleaning, photography for internet, packing and unpacking $20.00/hr

    Home Staging

    HOME STAGING is preparing the home for sale on the market, and is fairly new here on the Island. But a huge industry in the States and across Canada. It is proven to sell homes in less time and for more money for you, the home owner. Staging your home is simply DE-cluttering, DE-personalizing, neutralizing with color for a broader range of buyers, and making the home more spacious and open. We also look at the most commonly overlooked selling point: curb appeal. Most buyers do a "drive-by" look before actually making an appointment to view a prospective home. So the outside is as important, or more so, than the inside. This is also as important with the picture you take for viewing on the internet. A buyer will see what is there, not the potential of what the home will be. Buyers need to be able to see themselves living in the home. Buyers don't want something they need to turn around and spend more money to repair paint, etc. They want a move-in, ready home. So if you have your home staged, the ready buyers will pick your home over one that has not been properly prepared.     This includes travel, time, photos, finding out what the client needs and wants are, tour of home to see what I feel it needs to have done, measuring, colors they like don’t like, photos of furniture and placement, accessories.     Home Staging $35.00 to $50.00 hr.
    Dependent on the job, number of rooms being staged, shopping requirements (ie. if I have to go out and pick out furniture, paints, etc.) traveling time, size of house.
